What impact can godless character have on leaders and nation ? We find out in the life of King Ahaziah.The young king and several other political and military leaders lost their lives & theis position through a self - centered pursuit of power. They forgot that a leader must serve his people and his purpose. Leaders are not given authority to better themselves, to enlarge their income or social status, or to improve their standard o living. They are first & always servant other.
This biblical idea appears throughout the scripture, but finds special emphasis in the gospels through the teaching of Christ. Consider what our Lord teaches us about servant Leadership :
1. Pursuit of Power & prestige
2. Improve wealth & status of Leader
3. See others as enemies & competitors
God's Economy :
1. Pursuit of love & service to others
2. Improve the welfare of people
3. See others as brothers.
